Cadenza Summer Music Week  exists as a living answer to the question:

 

"How can students be encouraged to love studying music?"

 

It is our experience that students find joy in music when they are:

 

  • inspired through excellent teaching and performances

 

  • meaningfully connected with musicians of all ages (through relationships and ensemble playing)

 

  • encouraged to explore creative aspects of musical study (improvisation, composition)

 

  • introduced to a variety of musical styles and aspects of music study (classical, fiddle jazz, music history, instrument making)

 

    At the heart of the Cadenza Vision is a desire that all participants have an encouraging experience of being part of a musical community.
